So as I said in my bio, I was rescued from the side of a highway in Kentucky. I didn't know where I was going and obviously I wasn't very good at finding any food. Well anyway, everything happens for a reason! So there I was, roaming aimlessly, broken right front leg which stuck out like a sore thumb and very hungry. TrueHeart was contacted about me to see if they had any room for me to stay till I could find a home. When a home opened up, Cheryl with TrueHeart Min Pin Rescue took me to my foster home where I was able to be part of a family again. Cheryl knew that I needed to have my leg fixed but she told me I had to regain my strength first. I was was able to put some weight back on and regain my strength while I was with my foster family which is what I needed before I could have my surgery.
Once I was healthy enough for surgery, I was taken to a temporary home in Raleigh, NC to stay with Stephanie and Brendan which is where I am currently recovering. This is a really fun place, they have other dogs that look just like me, more min pins for me to run and play with.....oh and one big Husky (shhh, don't tell him but he is a real push over!) On Wednesday April 29, 2009 I was taken to a wonderful vet in Cary, NC...although I didn't think he was so wonderful when I woke up from the surgery. His name is Dr. Monce with PetSound Animal Hospital and the staff there is so sweet. Here are some photos of me prior to my surgery......I need to go take a nap now cause I sure am tired but I when I wake up I will let you know all about my surgery
